Scan through the information and pull out keywords, subject headings and things like when the information was published. |
Question | Use the CRAAP method to evaluate the source before and during the reading. Ask yourself "What have I learned from this chapter or section?" "What do I already know about the topic?" |
Read | Skim read through the whole section. Take note of topic sentences for paragraphs and any concluding methods. |
Recall | Write a sentence or two about what you've learned from this reading in your own words. |
Review | Re-read the section. Go a bit slower on important sections. |
This method is particularly useful if you're a learner who might have visual or auditory processing difficulties (Patrick, 2020).
