Quick Tips

Taking notes is an important part of attending class, but it’s not as simple as just copying down everything your teacher tells you. Note taking is a skill, and good notes can be a valuable tool for you as you learn, study, and write assignments. 

 

  • Head the page with the subject, date, and topic
  • Allow a wide margin so you can add information later on 
  • Use abbreviations and dot points rather than complete sentences 
  • Revise your notes later on, highlighting or underlining key information
