Research Skills: Brainstorming

Quick Tips

Brainstorming is a way to quickly generate many ideas about a topic or question. Keywords are a great way to brainstorm and show what you already know about your assessment.

  • Look at your assignment question or topic and highlight keywords.
  • Brainstorm a list of word and phrases that have a similar meaning to these keywords.
  • You can then use these keywords to search for information on your topic.
