Quick tips

A report is a document that outlines a particular field of research or study, and the resulting findings. There are many different types of reports (research, business, scientific, lab, and more). Reports often use headings (check with your teacher to see if there are specific headings you should use).

Report format

A sample of a report structure could be as follows:

  • Title page

  • Executive summary

  • Table of contents

  • Introduction

  • Discussion or body

  • Conclusion

  • Recommendations
