Introduction to the Library: Technology session

Library technology sessions

The Library is offering sessions to help students who are unfamiliar with computers grasp the basics!

During the term you can book librarians to come to your class and run a 45 minute technology session based around one of the subjects below.

Internet Searching - How to search Google and use the advanced search functions.

Emails - How to access and use the student email, on campus, on your device and at home.

Searching for and Saving Images - How to find images to use in assessments and save them using a USB.

Microsoft Word- How to use the different functions in Word to create well laid out documents.

Submitting Assessments Online - How to use MyLearning to submit an assessment.

Power Point - How to use Power Point to create basic slide shows for presentations.

Students can also book sessions with a librarian at a date of their choosing. If you think this would be beneficial, direct the student(s) to the library. They can book a session at the help desk via a Meet with a Librarian Session.
