Introduction to Library Resources 

Outcomes: 

• Understand how to conduct a basic search of the library catalogue 
• Understand how to place a hold on an item
• Utilise library website 
• Interact with relevant subject guide 

Ideal for: new students in their first week of study 

Duration: 15 minutes

Research and Referencing 

Outcomes: 

• Understand how to conduct a basic database search 
• Understand how to evaluate information 
• Understand referencing and plagiarism 
• Create references in APA7 style 

Ideal for: Certificate IV and Diploma students 

Duration: 1.5 hours (without activities), 2.5 hours (activities and short break included).
