- Read your work out loud - spot errors more easily!
- Print a copy of your work and proofread, take a break from the screen.
- Use proofreading tools available in your preferred word processing programme.

Draw up a plan. This should include:
The main points you intend to cover in the order you expect to cover them.
The evidence you will use to support each of these points.
The reference details next to each piece of evidence so you do not lose track of your sources.
All your main points should be supported by evidence, with sources.
The conclusion should not introduce any new information – think of it as a summary of what you have written.
